Winona Ryder - Winona Lauro Horowitz was born in Winona Minnesota. Parents of Winona Ryder chose her name after her hometown. His father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder is a Jew. Ryder believes that her father was from a Jewish background. Ryder has a younger brother Uria and half-siblings Jubal and Sunyata. In the year Ryder was just seven years old, her family moved from Mendocino County, California. Mendocino County California. At the time, there were no electric lights. Ryder was a consummate bookworm and would spend her days reading books as there was no television.
