Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born into a musical family on the 9th of August, 1963, in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singer Dionne Warwick. In Newark, Whitney began singing in the church choir as a small child. When she was 15 years old, she accompanied her mother backing vocals in Chaka's hit Im Every Woman from 1978. In the following years, she was a backing vocals to Jermaine Jackson and Lou Rawls as well as her mom. Her first gig was as a lead vocalist with the funk group from New York, Material as well. It was her high quality of her vocal work with them that attracted the attention of several major record labels including Arista which she signed with in 1983, and with whom she was for the rest of her career. The year 1985 saw Whitney Houston's first album turned out to be the best-selling debut album ever. Her album featured several hits like How Will I Know You're Good to Me, Saving all My Love For you and The Greatest Love of All. It helped her achieve seven US chart-topping singles consecutively, a feat that surpasses the Beatles. Album sold in US 3,000,000 copies before it reached 25,000,000 copies worldwide. This gave her the first of her six Grammy Awards. Whitney, her album Whitney was released in 1987 and featuring the smash singles How Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, continued her earlier success. However it is The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as the top selling album in music. While the film wasn't highly appreciated and neither was her performance, the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the top of both the albums and singles charts across the US for a period of time. She sold 44,000,000 copies. When she gave birth to her daughter Bobbi Brown, she got married to Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group. At this point, her drug abuse became well documented and she started using it daily by 1996.

Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American anchorwoman for news and reporting as well as political correspondent for CNN. Her weekend programs are Evans & Novak Late Edition, Inside Politics and Inside Politics. Coming to her distinctions and awards Bash was once placed in Women in Washington Power List in Elle magazine. Many young journalists admire her reporting and anchoring capabilities. This George Washington University grad is the most loving mom to her only child. She has been married twice and currently isn't. Bash has a huge love for all of her fans. That is why she is an American reporter is so active in Instagram, Twitter and other social media platforms. She keeps her supporters updated.
