Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived in a musical family on 9 August 1993, in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the cousin of daughter to singing superstar Dionne. The singer began her singing career in a choir at her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark in the early years of her childhood at the age of fifteen, she was singing back vocals professionally alongside their mother in Chaka Khans 1978 hit Im Every Woman. She continued to offer back vocals to Jermaine Jackson, Lou Rawls and her own mother and worked briefly as models on the front cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. Her work as the lead vocalist in New York funk group Material caught the eye of major record companies including Arista, with which she signed her contract in 1982, where she continued to work for the remainder of her career. Whitney Houston, her debut album that debuted in 1985 was the most-sold album by an unproven singer. The album All My Love was released in 1985 and was a top one hit. In its initial US year, the album was had sold more than 3 million copies. It went on to be listened to by more than 25 million people worldwide, earning her her first Grammy. Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American reporter anchorwoman and political reporter for CNN. Her previous work included NBC, CBS and other prestigious channels. She also produces the CNN's weekend shows including Evans & Novak Late Edition and Inside Politics. Bash has been awarded the Women in Washington Power List honor by Elle magazine.
